Child Care Teacher
DEFINITION:
Teachers would have direct and primary responsibility for a group of children. The work of this position is in accordance with the minimum standards for day care centers, and is under the supervision of the child care center’s Director.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development with experience working with infants, toddlers and preschool children. Also, other CDA qualifications, such as health and age as outlined in Minimum Standards.
DUTIES:
- Providers care and protection for assigned children.
- Works with Director to establish a flexible daily schedule to meet the developmental needs of the children.
- Plans, prepares and carries out daily growth and learning activities for the children.
- Assures that the children’s equipment and supplies are arranged properly and orderly, and are kept clean and in good condition.
- Assists children as they develop appropriate habits of eating, dressing napping, and toileting.
- Participates in carrying out the center’s health program.
- Relates with parents, and assists the Director in enforcing operating policies.
- Plans Teacher/Parents Conferences.
- Up-grades performance of duties through reading and discussion, and through professional meetings and workshops.
- Performs related work, as requested, providing it does not interfere with the direct supervision of the children.
Job Types: Contract, Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
