GENERAL DESCRIPTION:*
Plans, designs, develops, tests, and documents computer programs by applying technical programming knowledge and computer languages.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Converts projects and/or requirements specifications using flowcharts and diagrams with detailed instructions in sequence and logical steps encoded in computer-processable languages, applying basic programming techniques.
- Enter the program codes into the computer system. Enters the commands into the computer to test and run the programs.
- Reads reports and observes the screens displayed to determine syntax or logical errors during program testing and/or usessoftware to determine errors, and replace, or modify codes to correct errors.
- Analyzes, reviews, and alters programs to increase operational efficiency or adapt new requests.
- Document program development, coding, corrections, and user manuals.
- Identifies and troubleshoots problems in system operations with the user. Recreates scenarios with the user step by step to locate the source of the problem and solve it. These steps include reviewing software tools, flowchart designs, and code generation at each stage of development, among others.
- Offers training to users for using programs. Ensures that the installation of hardware and software is done correctly. Provides technical assistance to users in the use of the programs. Installs and tests user(s) programs.
- Monitors the execution of the program after its implementation.
- Develops and/or implements programs for business applications and complex programs.
- Database Concepts: create and analyze Physical files, Logical files, SQL tables, Indexes, Views, and Stored Procedures.
- Must comply fully and consistently with all company policies and procedures, with local and federal laws as well as with the regulations applicable to our Industry, to maintain appropriate business and employment practices.
- May carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned, according to the requirements of education and experience contained in this document.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS;
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering and at least three (3) years of previous experience in programming.

Certifications / Licenses: Must be proficient in at least three (3):
- Required knowledge of AS/400: COBOL SQL, CL/CLLE, RPG, RPGILE, I-Series system upgrade, and applying PTFs is a plus.
- Required knowledge of Windows: Windows, IIS 7.0, Entity Framework, Angular 6, MVC Visual Studio, Crystal Reports, SSRS, and SSIS, among others, is preferable.
