Job Description:
We are looking for remote freelance/1099 independent contractor Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) Proposal Managers located within the United States to help with developing high-quality proposal-ready narratives in response to Pharmacy Benefits Management RFPs.
Contract Medicaid RFP Proposal Manager -
- Lead and oversee a client’s end-to-end RFP writing, editing, graphics & production response team including team’s daily activities, deliverables and overall quality
- Act as a client’s primary point of contact and liaison to client for progress, plans, deliverables, questions, obstacles and solutions
- Responsible for final quality of every deliverable provided to client including narrative, graphics, attachments, or other RFP required elements; Reviews, provides feedback and has final signoff on all deliverables
- Assess needs of client and specific RFP to develop, train and lead team of resources (internal and contractor with varying experience levels and availability) to satisfy Weber’s responsibilities
- Build and maintain quality standards, tools and processes for internal team
- Manage and support Traffic Controllers (Narrative, Graphics and Production) to ensure consistent communication with client, clear engagement with internal team and driving tight deadlines
- Depending on RFP requirements, the proposal manager may do the following: (1) Manage and support Content Writers to ensure compliance with RFP and ensure there is compelling story-telling and strong differentiators in their language; (2) Manage and support Editor(s) to ensure consistent editing and compliance with RFP standards, brand, style, tone, commonly used terms and source of truth (SOT); (3) Manage and support Graphic Designer(s) to ensure all graphics or attachments and production items/templates align with narrative quality standards and support a high-scoring response; (4) Manage and support Production Specialist(s) to deliver 100% quality on final soft and hard copy deliverables
- Able to adapt and do the work when high volume requires it including but not limited to: Editing/Copywriting, Formatting, Production
- Develops detailed internal and client facing work plans including timeline, activities, tools to execute efficiently, scheduling and budget tracking
- Organizes and communicates hourly, daily, weekly and monthly assignments, activities, priorities, and meetings to set clear expectations with the team
- Prepares for, facilitates and participates in kickoff meetings, stakeholder meetings, reviews and progress updates
- Work collaboratively with internal and client teams on deliverables, due dates, identifying obstacles or challenges, solutions and adjustments required throughout process
Requirements
- Must be extremely organized, a great communicator and willing to be very flexible esp. during busy periods
- Some evening and weekend work will be mandatory depending on RFP deadlines and client mode of operating
- Hands-on experience and understanding of State Medicaid programs and their components
- Working knowledge and application of RFP response principles (example: the Shipley model)
- During RFP response timeline, must be able to work long hours and some weekends.
- Demonstrate a broad range of problem-solving skills (both proactive and reactive)
- Not satisfied with status quo – strives for 100% quality at all times from all team members and across all deliverables
- Some limited travel may be necessary to client sites TBD
- Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) Proposal Management :5 years (Required)
