As a Driver Manager, you will oversee a group of drivers, ensuring they become quality team members focused on improving workflow processes. You will handle the daily execution of product transportation, engaging in continuous improvement across the organization. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to improve efficiencies and streamline operations.

Who You Are:

You come from a background in logistics or dispatching, or you were a previous driver and moved into management.
You excel at getting teams focused and working together, adept at conflict resolution, and managing differing personalities.
PVT is a leader in automation and technology, and you should be proficient with spreadsheets and a Transportation Management System (TMS)
You have strong coaching and mentoring skills and can build and develop a team of drivers as we look to grow.
You are experienced in conducting interviews, hiring drivers, and bringing ideas to partner with our internal recruiters to help that process.

What You Will Do:

Maintain consistent office hours and coach team members through corrective actions and KPIs.
Assist in hiring, managing job-sharing opportunities, and resolving team members' complaints.
Collaborate with fleet maintenance on operational efficiencies and manage asset utilization.
Once our feed mill opens this fall, you will coordinate with mill operations and ensure timely and accurate feed readiness.
Ensure communication systems are functioning correctly and manage third-party deliveries.
Analyze fleet profitability, develop business opportunities, and coordinate backhaul shipments.
Oversee interplant and 3PL shuttle movements and participate in daily dispatch for improvements.
Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
Track KPIs, schedule PTO for team members, and update action items.
Contribute to department budgets and conduct incident investigations.
Maintain a continuous improvement mindset and manage cross-dock business development.

Required
