Reporting directly to the CIO, the Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to help guide our decision-making processes. You will work closely with various departments to understand their data needs, provide detailed analysis, and deliver insightful reports. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and the ability to translate complex data into understandable and actionable information.

Responsibilities

Collect and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
Develop and maintain databases, data systems, and data collection processes.
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
Collaborate with different departments to understand their data needs and deliver appropriate solutions.
Create and maintain dashboards and visualizations to present data in an easily understandable format.
Perform data cleansing and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Identify and recommend process improvements based on data analysis.
Prepare and present detailed reports and findings to management and other stakeholders.
Stay updated with the latest data analysis trends, techniques, and best practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience/certification.
Two (2) years of experience within data analysis.
Understanding best-practice enterprise data analysis and procedures across a variety of areas.
Translating business and user needs into data approaches and reporting.
Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Birst).
Writing and evaluating queries.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Testing and evaluating multiple solutions, methods, and models to determine accuracy, validity, and applicability.
Working with customers to prioritize needs, timelines, and expectations.
Establishing standards, approaches, and credibility for leveraging and interpreting data.
Identifying, analyzing, and resolving data problems, failures, or issues.
Working cooperatively as a member of a team.
Working independently on assigned tasks and manage time to meet deadlines.
Written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills required to provide effective technical user support.
Communication and interpersonal skills required to provide technical leadership and training to other staff.
Skill in using computer, Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), web-based tools, and business systems.

Location: This position is located on-site in Panama City, FL or Pine Bluff, AR.
