About the role
As the North America Technical Account Director, you will report to the North America General Manager and be responsible for all aspects of the account development and sales process, executing and managing our customer demands. In this hands-on role, you will ensure the highest standards of quality and service excellence that are the foundation of our customers’ trust and GRL’s growth. Supported by a team of highly capable engineers working globally in state-of-the-art laboratories, you will drive achievement of our growth targets and company objectives.
You will lead project scoping, budgeting, pricing and planning for complex, multi-faceted test, debugging and product design consultation projects and test automation solutions needs with a wide range of customers, products, and technologies.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute account development and sales plan to achieve business goals.
- Build close relationships with our clients and provide expert professional advice to help them meet their product goals and access their target markets.
- Identify and develop new customer accounts.
- Act as a GRL solutions & services expert to provide technical guidance to our customers; define services scope of work and solutions requirements.
- Serve as main contact for customer problem solving; analyze and facilitate resolutions involving the right GRL technical personnel.
- Follow and feedback market dynamics and competitor status. Recognize market and technology trends in consultation with the GRL leadership team.
- Manage order intake, customer projects follow up, and accounts receivable tracking for assigned accounts.
- Execute a fluent process from inquiry till customer satisfaction.
Candidates may be located anywhere in North America. Candidates located East of the Rocky Mountains and/or with experience managing “internal customers” are encouraged to apply. 20-30% travel within North America expected.
Key Qualifications:
- Demonstrated strong leadership and management skills. Strong project/program management experience a big plus.
- Technical understanding of digital connectivity and charging technologies (for example, USB, Ethernet, PCI Express, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.) a big plus.
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in electronics test and measurement, semiconductors, or regulatory testing/certification highly preferred.
- Understanding of electronics hardware design concepts and testing a big plus.
- Proven engineering problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Proven track record in customer relationship development and management with strong focus on technical sales and customer service.
- Learning spirit and strong execution ability. Flexible for travel, well-organized, and a team player.
- B.S. required. B.S./M.S. in electrical and electronic engineering or similar technical field preferred.
- Fluency in English and US work authorization required.
