Summary:
To contribute to the support and maintenance of GSC Enterprise IT Infrastructure systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties and responsibilities will be assigned based on the skillset. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Hardware Support
- Printers and toner/ink – inventory, purchasing and installation.
- Desktops and laptops – maintaining, testing, training, and deployment.
- Projectors, sound systems, teleconferencing systems
- Maintenance, cleaning and upkeep of all servers and IT hardware, installing and upgrading rack-mounted equipment, network cabling, server room, IT storage room and phone room.
- Backup power systems and fail-overs.
- Hardware obsolescence risk management
- Software Support
- Application administration and support
- Cloud based phone system configuration.
- Email administration – user management/creation/deletion
- Software obsolescence risk management
- Network Support
- Routing and switching
- Firewall administration
- Wireless network administration

Education and/or Experience: Prior work experience in PC systems, cloud-based telephony, IP networking and administration is desired by not required.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures.
Mathematic Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: The successful candidate should be familiar with some of these skills, but expertise is not mandatory nor expected.
- Workflow management software (i.e., JIRA)
- Windows OS
- Basic understanding of cloud-based telephony
- Software and hardware troubleshooting skills
- General knowledge of computer and networking hardware
- General knowledge of mainstream software
