Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing direct patient care in various medical settings, including Level I and Level II Trauma Centers, hospitals, clinics, operating rooms (OR), and outpatient facilities.
Duties:
- Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care in diverse settings such as inpatient units, outpatient clinics, emergency departments, and teaching hospitals.
- Perform basic medical procedures under supervision, including taking vital signs, assisting with patient hygiene, and monitoring patient conditions.
- Support patients with activities of daily living and ensure their comfort and safety.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery.
Qualifications:
- Certification or completion of a Patient Care Technician program.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment or similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of hospital medicine practices and familiarity with various medical specialties such as emergency medicine and critical care.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments like Level I Trauma Centers and handle stressful situations with professionalism.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients and their families.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different healthcare settings.
