Program Coordinator, Diversity and Inclusion (aHEO)
POSITION DETAILS
Reporting to the Dean for Diversity and Compliance, the Program Coordinator for Diversity and Inclusion Programs develops, implements, and manages unit-specific and school-wide community engagement activities and initiatives to support campus goals and priorities relating to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. The position works with key stakeholders to plan events to increase awareness, respect, understanding participation and engagement; and to create publicity, including social media that promotes diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following duties:
- Works with faculty, staff, and students to develop programming designed to strengthen the culture of inclusion, belonging and engagement at the College.
- In coordination with stakeholders, designs and implements programming and events that enhances cultural awareness and diversity appreciation
- Works collaboratively with stakeholders to develop an annual schedule of activities and events to enhance engagement and community building and strengthen feelings of inclusion and belonging
- Creates and manage a yearly programmatic calendar anchoring various Heritage Month Cultural, Identity and community engagement events, and campus programs
- In coordination with other stakeholders, the coordinator organizes trainings, workshops or other development opportunities in support of a climate of respect, and inclusion
- Serve as a liaison for campus partners to provide collaborative programming and support for major events, including but not limited to working with Student Activities
- Coordinates and implements publicity initiatives to maximize diversity and inclusion programming and event visibility through marketing, social media and other communication channels
- Collects, manages, analyzes and shares data with key stakeholders related to the diversity and inclusion programs and events
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of relevant experience
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills, including working with marketing materials, designing websites, social media (including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and others)
Ability to exercise independent judgment to solve problems as they arise when managing or hosting events and activities
Ability to work on a team and manage multiple priorities with willingness to adapt and help others as needed
Understands Institutional Compliance requirements
Excellent in conducting presentations
Experience with multiple software and applications (Microsoft Office Suite, OneDrive, ZOOM, Microsoft Teams,)
Ability to work occasional night and/or weekend events.

Supports the directors and managers with orientation preparation, student advisement regarding program requirements, and providing basic information about financial aid and registration
Manages office records including faculty files; prepares reports and surveys; collects and maintains statistical data on program activities
Serves as liaison to various College offices to provide service delivery and appropriate referrals to students
Collects and reviews syllabi to ensure compliance with standards
Serves as resource person for students and faculty regarding program policies and procedures
May supervise office operations and/or monitor department budget
Performs related duties as assigned.

Salary commensurate with education and experience ($44,411-$60,394).
