GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Sales Associate, or Salesperson, is responsible for maintaining exceptional relationships with existing customers and establishing new customer relationships. By focusing on relationships, the Salesperson will meet the objectives of the company, increasing existing sales, securing new sales, and keeping the portfolio diversified and balanced. The Salesperson plays a key role in our organization providing market data and insight used for the development of strategic initiatives.
Essential Functions:
· Technical Expertise: Develop an in-depth understanding of our products, processes, and capabilities.
· Customer Engagement: Establish and cultivate strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders at customer organizations, becoming a trusted advisor.
· Solution Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality, and other departments to develop solutions for customers.
· Sales Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies including market analysis, competitor assessments, and digital marketing strategies.
· RFQ Process: Lead the preparation and submission of proposals in response to Request For Quotation.
· Negotiation: Negotiate terms and contracts with customers, ensuring alignment with company policy, budget, and timelines.
· Project Handover: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to facilitate a smooth handover of secured projects, ensuring customer expectations are met.
· Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to customers throughout the sales and project implementation process.
· Sales Reporting: Maintain detailed records of sales activities, prepare, and report out sales metrics at regular intervals.
· Market Insight: stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and emerging opportunities, sharing insights with the team.

Qualifications and Experience:
· Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
· Technical minded and able to understand:

o Reading prints
o Forging process
o Dimensional capabilities
o Able to understand specifications
o Heat treat understanding
· Knowledge of forging industry.
· Knowledge of customer base & markets.
· Experience with digital platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, Website, Blogging
· ISO/IATF experience.
· Proven experience in technical sales
· Experience developing sales strategies and drive to achieve the goals
· Willing to travel on a regular basis.
· Knowledge of cost structure.
· Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
· Experience in Business Development & Strategic planning activities.
· Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
· Knowledge of various materials and strengths
· Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build an industry presence
· Understands who they are discussing potential work ex. Buyer, Engineering, Production
· Understand the metal market with awareness of monthly scrap surcharge movement
· Has a broad body of knowledge to cover various markets EFI provides parts to
· Has awareness of potential supply chain sources to assist in providing parts
· General awareness of Engineering and Quality practices
Education Requirements:
· Engineering, Technical or Business degree preferred but not necessary depending on experience.
· 3 years of sales experience in a manufacturing market
Physical Demands:
This position will involve a lot of sitting and standing in an office or when traveling. Additionally, the position will require walking in manufacturing facilities with a variety of environments and conditions.
Work Environment:
This position will be primarily in the office but will require travel. The position will also require time spent in manufacturing facilities with a variety of environments and conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
