All Capital Solutions is seeking System Administrators to work as part of a team.
Members of this team perform wide ranging Linux & Windows System Administration activities at the organization level and work with multiple projects to implement and maintain best practices and common data flow feeds across related projects.
The selected SAs will work with a team of System Administrators & Engineers assisting the team to:
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
- Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Communicate and coordinate with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and Information System Owner (ISO) regarding system changes as part of the Change and Configuration Management Process.
- Support the ISO by completing required milestones of Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M)as directed and coordinate completion status with the ISSO to reflect status within the Source System of Record for Security Authorizations.
- Ensure IT Assets remain compliant with Identity & Access Control Management (ICAM) policy.
Position Specific Required Experience:
- Five (5) years experience in the design, plan, installation, configuration, and sustainment of a Red Hat Linux (RHEL) environment.
- Five (5) years experience in the creation of automation scripts for configuration, backup, and restoration using well know scripting languages (for example bash/Perl).
- Three (3) years experience in implementing OS level clustering.
- Five (5) years experience performing Puppet system administration.
- Five (5) years experience installing software from YUM repositories, RPM Files, tar-balls, or source code.
- Five (5) years experience in researching, acquiring, and applying IAVA patches.
- Five (5) years experience in using Unix/Linux command line.
- Five (5) years experience with VMWare architecture, Installation and configuration. Experience with facilitating failover with VMotion, VMWare template library, and VMWare monitoring capability
Clearance required to start: TS/SCI w/FS poly
Additional Information:
- Work performed in a contractor facility within 10 mile radius of Ft. Meade.
- Both low and high side access.
Qualification Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in a qualified engineering (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus 3 (or more) years of systems administration experience.
OR
High School Diploma or GED plus 8 (or more) years of general systems administration experience (any process area).
*Note 1 – Examples of Qualified engineering fields include: Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management.
*Note 2 - Examples of related disciplines include: Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, and Physics.
Desired Skills:
- Experience architecting and maintaining VMWare virtual environments
- Experience with Helpdesk concepts and processes
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems
- Active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification
