This is a part-time position with full-time potential. The ideal candidate has pet industry management experience.
Responsibilities Include:
Working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer questions about our products and recommend appropriate solutions.
Must stay up to date on pet product knowledge, maintain our store’s visual appearance, work closely with the team to handle all aspects of the sales floor, build relationships with customers and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through sales service.
Job Requirements:
- Must be comfortable interacting with all sizes/breeds of dogs & cats.
- 3-5 years Boutique/Pet retail sales management
- Knowledgeable about diet/healthcare needs of pets or have natural interest to learn
- Utilize sales techniques, exceed sales quotas & directly supervise the sales associates
- The ability to work independently & efficiently
- Maintain and monitor high standards for customer service with solid communication skills
- Oversee and execute inventory control, deliveries, ordering new merchandise, entering/creating invoices via Point of Sale, E-commerce fullfilment, phone orders/deliveries
- Schedule grooming appointments/maintain client profiles & paperwork
- Must be a quick learner (familiar with using an iPad & Square POS is a plus)
- Creating, updating visual displays and merchandising
- Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
- Opening and closing the shop
- Availability to work flexible shifts **weekends & holidays are mandatory**
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time & lift up to 30 pounds
Oversee these specific employees: Store Sales Associates/Groomers/Inventory & Maintenance Staff
Ensure all employees are performing their job functions to the highest standards through constant positive or constructive coaching.
Plan & post weekly schedules for the team
Purchase inventory and maintain stock
This job also involves a fair amount of weekly cleaning which includes but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, stocking shelves, taking out trash, breaking up boxes, etc.
