About the role:
Our client makes a real-time micro- and nano-materials metrology sensor that is enabled by cold atmospheric plasmas. The sensor is compact, can be integrated within existing manufacturing lines, and can collect multiple material property measurements (such as thickness, density, resistivity, contaminate identification, chemical composition) in parallel and in real-time, thus allowing for the collection of critical manufacturing data that is otherwise unobtainable. Out Client is currently applying the sensing framework to industrial materials manufacturing processes such as Lithium-ion batteries semiconductors, membranes, and packaging/barrier coatings, where this flexible framework can be used to accelerate R&D and process optimization, improve quality control, and enable real-time process control.
Our Client is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead the development and implementation of advanced engineering solutions for a high-performance real-time metrology platform that incorporates advanced cold atmospheric plasma, optical, thermal, mechanical, and electrical systems. The successful candidate will manage complex projects, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide technical expertise to drive innovation and ensure product excellence.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of technological innovation, working with cutting-edge systems in a collaborative and dynamic environment. If you are a driven and skilled engineer looking to make a significant impact in the metrology industry, we encourage you to apply.
Qualifications:
o Education: Masters Required - PhD preferred in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics, or Related Field
o 10+ years of experience in metrology, advanced sensing, plasma, electrical and/or optical systems engineering. Past example experiences may include: advanced visual inspection systems, electron optics, SEM, lasers, LiDAR, medical devices, optical modeling and simulation, etc.
