POSITION TITLE Chicago Chapter Coordinator
POSITION TYPE Hourly, up to 20 hours per week
LOCATION Chicago, IL (hybrid)
DURATION 10-month contract (August-May) with the option to extend
COMPENSATION Hourly, commensurate with experience
POSITION SUMMARY
The Chicago Coordinator’s role is to provide support to Chicago families interested in joining AMIGOS, from the moment of interest until the Chicago volunteer leaves for their AMIGOS experience. This is a unique role, focused on building and supporting the local Chicago AMIGOS community throughout their AMIGOS journey. This opportunity includes mentorship and meaningful hands-on experience in project management, marketing, communications, working with youth, and organization.
This role is the first of its kind, and as such, we are seeking an applicant who is flexible and willing to work with the Chicago Chapter board to help define the local support needs of families in the Chicago area. AMIGOS has a rich history in the area, and we are excited to launch this professional role aimed at supporting this local community, which has previously been supported by volunteer board members. Our ideal candidate for this position is passionate about the AMIGOS mission, excited for the possibilities presented by this role, and committed to working collaboratively with the AMIGOS team to provide feedback on the role and define the long-term vision for AMIGOS chapters in the area.

· Bilingual in Spanish language is a plus!
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Outreach and Leads Management
· Drive enrollment and hit targets by working with local educators, recent alumni volunteers, and parents as advocates for our programs.
· Contact local educators in the Chicago area and set up in-person information sessions to be co-led with alumni if possible.
· Track key outreach activities and provide reports regularly
· Manage and follow up with generated leads on a regular basis (phone calls, chat and emails) and track progress
· Ensure appropriate tracking system is maintained related to all outreach and relationships development via Salesforce.
Family Support
· Interview volunteers and families as they apply
· Coordinate with families in need of financial aid to gather all appropriate financial aid materials and communicate awards
· Manage financial relationship with volunteers, including distribution/collection of family financial agreements, collection of payments, and reminders of overdue payments
· Create a local group fundraising plan, in conjunction with Chapter Board, and train volunteers on fundraising obligations. Monitor and provide ongoing fundraising support to volunteers.
· Arrange parent meetings as needed and serve as primary point of contact for volunteer parents
· Support chapter training by arranging training site and acquiring training materials as needed; support training events on an as needed basis
Chapter Administration
· Set chapter calendar and work with HQ staff to publicize chapter activities
· Identify local service partners and set service activity dates
· Arrange all local meetings (such as Kick Off, Interviews, Parent Meetings, Despedida, and Trainings), and ensure logistics are taken care of (booking appropriate meeting spaces, communicating with families, etc.)
· Track chapter finances, and provide details as requested to accountants for timely completion of local chapter 990
· Submit compliance documents as required by Chapter Operations team
· Complete local filings (such as annual report) to ensure continued compliance with state requirements
