This Program Manager supervises a team of four Parent Mentor peer providers who have direct lived experience with the child welfare system. This position is responsible for managing referrals, overseeing data collection, and communication with community partners. The manager also provides direct services in the form of monthly Orientation classes in English and Spanish to parents currently involved in the child welfare system. This position is a member of the CPI Leadership Team and must be a licensed mental health professional.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Licensed in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience as a mental health clinician skilled in working with a wide range of child and adult mental disorders including crisis management.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience working with children and their families with histories of abuse and trauma.
- Experience in supervising staff with lived experience.
- Experience in a social service or non-profit mental health agency.
- Knowledge and understanding of professional legal and ethical obligations.
- Knowledge and experience in working with diverse populations, utilizing culturally sustaining, strength-based strategies.
- Basic computer skills including email, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible to recruit, hire, train and supervise all Parent Mentors and provide Orientation to parents involved in child welfare cases.
- Provide reflective, dynamic supervision sessions for Parent Mentors on a regular basis. The supervision will focus on maintaining appropriate boundaries and their role as a Parent Mentor and will be provided by an experienced trauma-informed mental health professional.
- Review cases regularly to ensure an appropriate active caseload, appropriate boundaries are maintained with parents, and balance is maintained between support and advocacy for parents and partnership/support for social worker and department needs.
- Ensure Parent Mentor participation in Court hearings as well as in TDM, TEAM meetings and Caregiver/Birthparent Introductions as arranged and facilitated by FY&C.
- Provide and/or facilitate ongoing training for Parent Mentors. Maintain a structure to train prospective Parent Mentors by providing instruction, shadowing and mentoring within a Parent Mentor position.
- Provide resources and guidance to help Parent Mentors strengthen the family functioning and overall child well-being of parents they mentor.
- Manage referrals and assign accordingly.
- Monitor Parent Mentors’ data input (client hours).
- Collect and report on outcome goals in accordance with the FY&C contract.
- Monitor Parent Mentors productivity and caseloads.
- Collaborate with FY&C for the maintenance, monitoring and evaluation of the Parent Mentor Program.
- Attend CPI Leadership Team meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
