Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate and direct activities related to move-ins and admissions, resident orientation, and assisting in special events and some community outreach. A key outcome of this position is to ensure IL, AL and MC resident retention, and provide customer service follow up post move in.
Essential Job Functions Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist IL, AL and MC residents and families with the move-in process and the Residency Agreement signing process. This may include ordering background and credit checks and ensuring all medical paperwork is provided to the Director of Nursing, prior to admission.
- Ensure move-in readiness, and communicate to all departments for timely preparation of IL, AL and MC apartments and service needs. Punch list the apartments after discharge and prior to admissions. Update the weekly Availability Report, or provide this information to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Maintain relationship with residents by implementing the “Happy You’re Here” signature move-in program, through personal meetings, group functions, new resident orientation and attending resident council meetings.
- Visit with IL, AL and MC deposited prospects and family members, on- and off-site, to facilitate and prepare for the move in process.
- Assist with touring the community with IL, AL and MC prospects; scheduled and walk-ins.
- Assist in planning and participating in all marketing events both inside and outside of the building.
- Ensure that personnel and guests follow established safety regulations at all times including the use of equipment and supplies.
- Provide continuous follow-up after IL, AL and MC move-ins and address identified issues immediately to increase resident satisfaction. Be readily available to solve service issues for residents as they arise.
- Follow up on phone calls to all residents, family members; and to prospects and referral sources as needed.
- Maintain CRM database and enter IL, AL and MC prospect and move-in information in a timely manner. Complete daily and weekly census reports as required.
- Attend and participate in in-service training programs to meet state, federal, and company requirements.
- Maintain a work environment that is clean and presents a professional image.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
- Must be able to deal tactfully with team members, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
- Must be able to work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and potentially hostile people within the facility.
- Must be able to speak, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, residents, and families.
- Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
- Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of college or related experience will be preferred.
- Prefer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, Outlook) and entering information into a relational database.
