DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for performing routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair on facility systems and equipment along with supervision of maintenance staff and contractors for workmanship and compliance to ensure facilities are maintained in a safe and clean manner.
- Assist with projects to support facility operations.
- Routinely inspects facility, troubleshoots and makes repairs to mechanical systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, air systems, fire preventative systems, and water treatment systems.
- Monitor and schedule preventative maintenance programs and inspections for various facility equipment and systems and take corrective action, if needed.
- Perform a variety of maintenance and/or minor repair activities on the interior and exterior areas of the property, including, but not limited to, painting, cleaning, drywall repair, plumbing repair, interior/exterior lighting repairs, roof repair, and overhead door repair.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment, including filter replacement, belt adjustment/replacements, etc. as well as other systems.
- Maintain maintenance and repair records on all equipment and facility systems.
- Maintain facility in a clean and orderly condition.
- Manage outside contractors and vendors to support effective operations.
- Communicate with management regarding proper grounds and/or building deficiencies.
- Ensure appropriate inventory systems, records, files, material safety data sheets, supplies, equipment, and tools are maintained.
- Perform all duties in accordance with all applicable standards, policies, and regulatory guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Assist shop personnel when requested
- Some travel may be required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree or Technical School certifications and/or training in related fields
- Basic understanding of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, industrial gas systems, facility fire systems, environmental systems, etc.
- Capability to diagnose, repair, and maintain facility shop and equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate basic hand tools
- Ability to operate a forklift, floor scrubber, and scissor lift
- Ability to work on ladders and in high places
- Ability to read and interpret documents, plans, and schematic drawings and comprehend instructions
- Ability to effectively present information to department management, employees, and outside contacts
- Ability to define problems, collect information, and establish facts
- Self-starter with ability to work independently with attention to detail
- Excellent work ethic and time management skills
- Willingness and ability to learn and engage with ERP system.
- Candidate should be self-motivated, flexible, and able to succeed with several projects at the same time, work accurately under pressure and with a positive work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid Driver’s License and able to pass full background check and drug testing.
- This role requires compliance with the U.S. State Department’s International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Commerce Department’s Export Administration Regulations, which require U.S. citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency (Permanent Green Card.)
