Admissions RN
The Admissions Nurse performs pre-admission evaluations for appropriateness for hospice services. Initiates the admission process by educating and informing the patient/family of hospice and its services. Provides nursing assessment, initial plan of care, and intervention(s)that optimize patient and family directed comfort and quality of life.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a current NC RN license or compact state RN license.
- At least two years of experience in an acute care facility or home care agency.
- Must possess a valid NC driver's license.
- National Certification (CHPN) recommended after completion of at least two years of full time experience as an RN in a hospice nursing practice.
