Product Engineer - Residential, Industrial and Commercial LED Lighting (On-Site)

Envision LED Lighting, established in 2010, is a leading manufacturer of indoor and outdoor commercial, industrial and residential lighting. We are seeking a dynamic addition to our team with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with a positive attitude ready to drive continuous improvement and create change.
The role involves providing mechanical design, technical analysis, and engineering troubleshooting. As a vital part of our team, you will oversee all engineering activities, ensuring alignment with our organizations mission, values and goals. The ideal candidate has a proactive, creative mind set, holds a bachelor's degree in engineering, 2+ years of experience in the lighting industry and management skills to take our engineering team to the next level.
- Evaluate and improve design samples, simulate tests to configure BOM’s, prototype construction on CAD, production integration, and technical issue resolution.
- Read and write electrical wiring diagrams for production work instructions.
- Review product spec sheets and provide accurate data to marketing for new spec sheets.
- Resolution through mechanical and thermal analysis.
- Interact with local or overseas vendors on projects.
- Assist customers with technical issues.
- Develop templates on technical issues to train customer service and sales.
- Travel and provide technical assistance and/or collaboration.
- Experience with LED sensors, photocells, emergency backups and dimmers.
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Lighting engineering.
- Understand UL, ETL, Energy Star, DLC and Title 24 JA8 requirements.
- BA/BS Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficient in using industry-standard design software and simulation tools (ie. SolidWorks)
- Management, Leadership and interpersonal skills is a must.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, NetSuite or other ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
- Manages multiple projects simultaneously and can adapt to change simultaneously.
- Possesses good judgement, pays attention to detail, good work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Must be able to continuously perform the full-time essential functions of the job.
- Safety awareness skills to avoid injury to themself and others.
- Routine carrying and lifting of objects up to 30 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Work involves walking, standing, sitting including using your fine and large motor skills throughout your workday.
- Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
