HR Compliance Associate
Position Summary: The Human Resources (HR) Compliance Associate reports to the Vice President of Human Resources . This position assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. The HR Compliance Associate carries out responsibilities in HR compliance.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Supports the Vice President of HR with all employee related compliance matters.
- Gathers compliance acknowledgements, enters and maintains training records in database and is responsible for recordkeeping.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management and tracking of State and Legislative regulatory changes that apply to retail.
- Provides HR Compliance posters to all store locations. Monitors modifications in regulatory changes to ensure all locations are compliant with up-to-date posters.
- Stay abreast on all employee-related legislative and regulatory changes and/or developments, and ensure changes to rules and regulations are restructured with HR systems, policies, and practices.
- Responsible for managing and ensure minimum wage accurately reflect current laws in accordance with regulatory wage changes.
- Review and maintain employment-related and personnel files.
- Prepare responses to third-party subpoenas, garnishments, personnel file requests, and other employment related third-party requests for information and documents.
- Assists as needed with departmental policies, procedures, and documents in support of the Compliance function.
- Assists in data gathering and compiling of information for special projects as assigned.
- Discreetly handle sensitive employee reports or information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge: Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Strong attention to detail while being results and solution driven. Track record of working with a sense of urgency, meeting deadlines while producing high quality work. Highly organized; detail-oriented to manage large sets of data from multiple sources. Ability to quickly identify critical trends, as well as data inconsistencies. Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills. Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- 3-5 years human resources experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
