Seeking an experienced Upper School Math teacher (Algebra II and Geometry) to join our dually-accredited (Cognia / ACSI) Preschool - 12 classical, Christian school to teach our high school scholars. Must be experienced with technology and incorporate it into the instruction when possible to enhance instruction.
Qualified candidates must aspire to not only teach the mind of the students, but also their souls. As such, this teacher will be an integral part of the students’ lives, in and out of the classroom, and collaborate with colleagues in providing classical, Christian education to all students.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide a consistent Classical, Christian learning environment and well-managed classroom.
- Teach mathematics to high school students.
- Practice the integrity of classical, Christian education utilizing teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Prepare weekly plans and unit plans and execute those plans while instructing, assessing, and evaluating students.
- Instruct students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students and parents via student/parent portal.
- Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments in order to evaluate students' progress.
- Collaborate with other teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of school programs.
- Participate in meetings and professional development in order to maintain and improve professional competence.
- Perform other duties as assigned by direct administrator.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience in classical school teaching high school mathematics with technology integration is preferred.
