Summary:
An Ocean Transportation company is looking to hire an Account Manager in Marietta, GA. This position is responsible for managing existing accounts, client relationships, and developing new business.
Responsibilities:
- Visiting with customers on-site to secure business relationships
- Manage sales pipeline
- Generate leads through new and existing business
- Responding to incoming sales leads for assigned accounts/territories
- To utilize all designated resources and tools in the daily job functions (i.e. Stars Tariff Retrieval System, Sales & Marketing Revenue Reports, Trade Database, etc.)
- Keep abreast of tariff changes, including new regulations and changes in rate applicability.
- Manage service contracts and process renewals
Required:
- Three (3) years of outside sales experience in ocean transportation, or a combination of outside sales, with inside sales and/or customer service in the industry.
- Strong customer service skills
- Intermediate Computer skills (in programs such as MS Word, Excel & Outlook).
- Must be able to communicate effectively and in a business environment, both verbal and written.
- Must have own form of transportation
- Sales and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish at an intermediate-advanced level.
