Job Overview
This position is responsible for program data entry and reports as requested to ensure compliance with agency requirements and Head Start Performance Standards.
Job Responsibilities

Promotes and models the organization’s Core Values.
- Assists Program Manager in delivery of documents.

Enters participant’s information to ensure accuracy and completion of the Program Information Report (PIR).

Enters family information updates to maintain accurate records in data system.

Maintains up-to-date knowledge and understanding of AVANCE’s policies and procedures, and Head Start Performance Standards.

Enters children’s and family’s data and information accurately into appropriate designated systems in a timely manner.

Monitors accuracy of data in files.

Works cooperatively with staff to facilitate the accurate coding and entry of information in compliance with program guidelines.

Keeps in close communication with program managers to ensure accurate reporting.

Assists in preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as required.

Follows program confidentiality policies concerning information about children, families, and other staff members.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
Required:
- High School Graduate or GED.
Preferred:
- Associate degree or some college course work in Office Management or related administrative field.
Work Experience
Preferred:
- Minimum six (6) months to one-year experience in non-profit programs.
Additional Skills Required
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.

Proficiency in Office software applications.
- Spanish fluency helpful, but not required.

Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.

Must have dependable transportation daily, valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, current auto liability insurance and be bondable by AVANCE, San Antonio, Inc.

Travel
Travel required locally or long-distance 25% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
Equipment
Computer, computer software programs and peripherals, resource materials and equipment, copier, fax, and other equipment applicable to the position.
Working Conditions
Mental and Physical Demands
General office and sedentary. Regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Use of personal computing equipment.
Maintain emotional control under stress; work with interruptions and deadlines; walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing; occasional: lifting/carrying, pulling/pushing 10-30 pounds. Work evenings and weekends as needed.
Environmental Factors
Occasional exposure to biological hazards (communicable diseases, bacteria, insects, mold, fungi, etc.). Occasional exposure to weather related conditions when working in outside environment/neighborhoods and events.
