Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals with developmental disabilities and possess strong skills in patient care and therapy techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct behavioral assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic interventions based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Provide one-on-one therapy sessions with clients
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including data collection and progress notes
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to support client engagement and behavior change
- Lead group therapy sessions as needed
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information
Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
- Experience working with individuals with mental health and developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding for behavioral health services
- Familiarity with special education practices and techniques
- Proficiency in crisis intervention strategies
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
