Audio/Video Integration Technician
Qualifications
- Prior Experience with Commercial Integration in the AV industry desired
- Ability to Think and Work Independently and Meet Necessary Deadlines
- Prior Experience with Commercial Construction Desired
- Prior Experience in Live Production encouraged
- Ability to Solder and Crimp Connectors (XLR, RJ45, TRS, BNC, and RS232)
- Ability to Read and Interpret Construction and AV Drawings Preferred
- Proficient in the use of Basic Hand and Power Tools
- Ability to Travel if Required
- Ability to Work at Heights, on Lifts & Ladders Required
- Must Possess a Valid Driver’s License with a Good Driving Record
- PC Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet)
- Perform tasks in a Timely and Quality Conscious Manner
- The ability to trouble-shoot basic audio, video, and control systems problems is a plus.

Job Summary
With safety and quality workmanship as a priority, perform integration tasks for audio visual projects including but not limited to:
- Small and large format digital mixing consoles
- Both audio and video signal processors
- Installing LCD/DLP video projection systems and screen
- Standard and interactive flat panel displays
- HDMI and HD-SDI Video switchers and Routers
- HDBT Video and Audio Encoders and Decoders
- Digital signal transport protocols – Dante, NDI, HDBT, MADI, Q-LAN, AES67, AES72, ST 2110, other proprietary transport protocols.
- LED video wall and processors
- Fixed, tripod mounted, and mobile cameras. Could be full size broadcast, camcorder style, and PTZs
- Wireless Audio and Video Systems
- Speakers ranging from ceiling mounted, point source, to line arrays
- LED theatrical and studio lighting systems
- Lighting control software and hardware components
- Unified control system processors
- Touch panels
- Networking hardware
- Power Distribution and UPS Battery Backups
- System equipment and components
- Rack fabrication
- Wiring layout for equipment
- Pulling cabling and terminating A/V systems

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform installation tasks as noted in job summary based on project scope and directives.
- Read and interpret scope of work specifications, system work flow drawings, system details drawings, architectural drawings and other project paperwork
- Use hand tools, power tools, soldering stations, and crimp tools along with various other installation system related tasks.
- Startup of any and all equipment
- Test point to point cabling and functionality of systems.
- Assist with testing code for control and DSP systems – field load as necessary
- Track, manage and secure all associated equipment and tools on jobsite.
- Work with office staff to initiate return material authorizations as needed.
- Communicate daily job site status to the Project Manager and complete required job documentation as needed.
- Communicate and coordinate with end user staff and other trades on site.
- Travel to various job sites required.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
Education and/or Experience
- Minimum of 1-3 years in audiovisual, electronics or related industry integration experience required.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid and current Audio Visual certifications preferred. (Or to be obtained)
- Manufacturer training certifications a plus
- Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets standards.
- Applicants age may limit ability to drive company vehicles
- Ability to obtain formal approved clearances (Government or system specific) may be required.
Physical Requirements
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
- be able to climb ladders up to 20 feet tall
- be able to work in small spaces and on uneven surfaces.
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
- climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $22.09 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
