General Purpose:
Manage all export operations for GLOCK, Inc., both sales and inter-company shipments
Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of export compliance policies and procedures
- Manage customer accounts and serve as primary point of contact for all GLOCK subsidiaries and international customers
- Maintain current knowledge of US export laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Arms Export Control Act, International Traffic in Arms Regulations, Export Administration Regulations, US Customs and Border Patrol, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act
- Coordinate with GLOCK subsidiaries on preparation of required documents such as Letters of Credit, acquisition of specialty items for testing, reporting of warranty issues, country / end-user specific explanation letters, and unauthorized pistol sales dispositions
- Communicate any country-specific regulatory updates to each GLOCK subsidiary
- Receive and review all relevant export documentation from end-user to ensure order feasibility and compliance
- Supervise the application of export licenses and maintenance of records
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely production and shipment of orders
- Work closely with GLOCK Production to ensure inventory of specialty items
- Obtain freight costs for all shipments and evaluate vendors for cost-effectiveness
- Coordinate logistics movements both domestically and internationally from order entry to final delivery
- Create export documentation including invoices, packing lists, Certificates of Origin, Apostille certification, proforma documents, Shippers Letter of Instructions, Airway Bill, Certificates of Insurance, etc. Maintains export documentation in accordance with US export regulations
- Coordinate with other departments in shipments being returned to Glock GmbH
- Coordinate factory visits and inspections from foreign customers
- Manage international sales statistics for use in sales forecasts, budgeting, and production planning
- Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring recommendations, and training employee's; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree plus extensive knowledge of ITAR 22 C.F.R., Parts 120-130
A minimum of two years of experience in export operations in the firearms industry; In depth knowledge of documentation related to exportation and movement of firearms
Ability to travel
Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective interpersonal skills
Highly organized, accurate, and detail oriented
Must have superior critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to changing, dynamic situations
Proven ability to work at both detail and strategic levels; work calmly under pressure and with frequent interruptions while displaying sound judgment.
Ability to effectively prioritize, efficiently manage time and multitask numerous projects
Possess computer literacy with knowledge of such software programs such as WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, etc.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid driver’s license
U. S. Export Licensing processes

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is to work indoors in a climate controlled administrative office setting. Work regularly scheduled shifts within normal hours of operation and may be asked to work overtime as needed.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but may require some work outside of these hours.
