We are seeking GA Pre-K Assistant Teachers to support our GA Pre-K program! This state funded program supports preschool age children.
To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require Child Development Associate (CDA) OR Paraprofessional Certificate OR Technical Certificate (TCC) in ECE OR Technical College Diploma (TCD) in ECE OR Montessori Credential OR Georgia Certified Teacher OR associate degree or higher.
Required Shift: Monday - Friday
Employment type: Full-time, 180 days per year
Compensation: Starting at $20,190 per year, salary based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:
-
Assist with planning, supervising, and implementation of the program for the class in accordance with the program policies.

Ensure the safety and well-being of each child by maintaining a developmentally appropriate classroom environment and providing appropriate supervision of children.

Assist with the creation of an appropriate classroom learning environment and appropriate classroom schedule.

Assist with planning and implementation of weekly lesson plans base on the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS), Work Sampling Online System (WSO) assessment data and Georgia Pre-K approved Curriculum.

Assist with maintaining student assessment documentation and meeting the assessment requirements.

Communicate clearly and appropriately with children, parents, staff, and others.

Participate in staff meetings, recommend training programs, classes, and other aspects of professional growth, and complete the training hours as required by Provider and by the state, including after hour sessions.

Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and be able to see, hear and respond to children’s needs including reaching high, stooping to the child’s level, sitting on the floor and getting up being able to reach a child 20-30 feet away within 15 seconds without danger to staff person’s health. Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time at least 90% of the day.
