Join Our Team as a Part-Time Behavioral Health Medical Assistant

La Tanya Wallace, NP & Associates is seeking an experienced, dedicated and organized Part-Time Behavioral Health Medical Assistant to join our growing practice.
This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from home while making a meaningful impact on the lives of our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule and manage appointments and calendars for staff
- Coordinate client communications via phone, email, and messaging platforms
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately and confidentially
- Manage billing and insurance claims processing and corrections
- Conduct online research and compile data as needed
- Prepare and distribute session materials and client resources
- Coordinate and administratively support virtual meetings and webinars
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation
- Assist in managing social media and marketing efforts to promote our services
Experience:
- Certified Medical Assistant
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of medical assistant experience in a behavioral health setting
- Familiarity with behavioral health terminology.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively with great attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Familiarity with trauma therapies, gender concerns, counseling, and/or psychopharmacology is a plus
- Proficient in using EHR systems, telehealth platforms (e.g., Office Ally, Simple practice), and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
