Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. As a CNA, you will provide essential hands-on care and support to patients under the direction and supervision of our licensed nurses and management team. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting patients with daily living activities, monitoring and redirecting clients where needed, maintaining a clean and safe healthcare environment, light homemaker services and promoting the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Take and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration rates (based on client)
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the supervising nurse
- Provide comfort and emotional support to patients
- Help patients with mobility, range of motion and exercise routines as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Serve meals and assist with feeding patients when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe healthcare environment by providing routine housekeeping tasks
- Adhere to all healthcare and company protocols, safety regulations, and facility policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Georgia
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or relevant healthcare role
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Empathetic and patient-centered approach to caregiving
- Ability to effectively handle stressful situations and work well in a team environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects or patients
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with one-on-one patients in their environment or in a long-term care or assisted living facility
- Additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid/CPR and TB results
