A national gourmet burger restaurant is looking for Food Runners/Expeditors for its newest restaurant in Torrance, CA. This is a stunning location in the Del Amo Fashion Center! The award winning casual concept features the signature gourmet burgers and a large selection of draft beers on tap.
The concept is a destination restaurant with over 16,000+ Yelp! reviews across its other stores and has been featured on Zagat's Review, NBC Los Angeles and Business Insider.

Reports to: Floor Managers /Kitchen (Asst) Manager/ General Manager Position Summary: Provide excellent service to all guests at Slater’s 50/50
Major Responsibilities: Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Be able to build rapport with guests, have a constant smile, keep a positive attitude, and take the initiative to stay busy and contribute to the overall success of the restaurant.
- Check the accuracy and presentation of plates before leaving the kitchen, double check against tickets.
- Deliver proper plates to proper tables and guests, double check against tickets.
- Describe food, sauces, and specialties as they are delivered to guests.
- Assist the kitchen manager and expo with tasks.
- Keep all sauces stocked up and cooled to proper temperature.
- Assist the servers in keeping guests’ drinks re-filled; assist bussers in keeping the restaurant clean.
- Provide guests with any and all items needed while visiting Slater’s 50/50.
- Attempt to limit problems and liability related to guests’ excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading guests to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons.
- Understand all dining area and kitchen service procedures.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
- Clock in and out as required by your shift and take breaks as required by policy.
- Be aware of, and abide by all Slater’s 50/50 policies, procedures, rules and
regulations.
- Report to the General Manager, kitchen manager and other supervisors as directed.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
- Have extensive knowledge of the current menu.
- Ability to identify and solve issues with food before delivering to table.
- Perform any other job duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements:
o Adequate skills and experience to perform job duties
o Food handlers card
o Able to stand for 8 hours - walks and stands during entire shift.
o Able to communicate with team members
o Able to understand and follow all policies and procedures
o Able to lift and carry racks or stacks of dishes, glassware and other o Able to frequently bend, stoop, reach, push and lift.
o Frequent washing of hands.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $22.00 per hour
