What you'll do as a Resident Assistant/ Medication Manager:
- Provide care to residents under the supervision of the nurse and the support of your team
- Provide physical support for residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, - using the toilet, walking, standing, or exercising.
- Assists with organizing, cleaning, laundry, meals, and other assigned tasks
- Promptly answer residents' calls for assistance and provide compassionate care that is in alignment with their specific care plan
- Chart resident interactions throughout the shift and communicate efficiently with the members of your team
- (Upon receiving your Medication Manager certificate) Medication Duties include, but are not limited to, the preparation and administration of medications, tests, and medical treatments
- Ensures that resident’s rights are adhered to
What you'll need as a Resident Assistant/ Medication Manager):
- Must be 18 years of age to obtain a Medication Manager
- Must be willing to obtain Medication Manager (We will enroll you upon hire if you haven't already taken the course)
- (Not required) Current active license to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Iowa.
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.
- Strong commitment to serving others
- Prior direct care experience is preferred, but not required.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as required
