Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Landscape Safety Trainer to join our team. The Landscape Safety Trainer will be responsible for developing and implementing safety training programs to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the landscape industry.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the landscape industry and possess excellent communication and training skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees at all levels
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards
- Collaborate with management to develop safety policies and procedures
- Provide guidance on compliance management, EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) practices, and workers' compensation
- Assist in the development of risk management strategies to minimize workplace accidents and injuries
- Conduct investigations of accidents or incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Stay up-to-date with changes in occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards
- Utilize construction management software to track safety training completion and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Safety Trainer or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and landscaping safety practices
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent presentation and training facilitation skills
- Proficient in using construction management software for tracking safety training completion
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective safety strategies
- Bilingual English and Spanish
- Valid Florida Driver's License with excellent driving record
