Position Overview:
Sound Inc. seeks a highly motivated and experienced Service Manager to join our team. As the Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of exceptional service to our valued customers. You will oversee the service department, manage a team of service technicians, and coordinate all aspects of service operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the service team to achieve high customer satisfaction, productivity, and technical expertise. Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations to support the team's growth and development.
2. Service Operations: Oversee day-to-day service operations, ensuring the timely and accurate resolution of customer inquiries, service requests, and issues. Monitor service activities to maintain service level agreements (SLAs) and meet customer expectations.
3. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong customer relationships, addressing their service needs and providing proactive support. Resolve escalated customer issues and ensure effective communication between the service team and clients.
4. Resource Management: Efficiently allocate service resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize service delivery and minimize downtime. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of services.
5. Service Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track service performance, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement. Implement strategies to enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
6. Quality Assurance: Maintain a high standard of service quality and compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure service excellence.
7. Service Strategy: Contribute to developing service strategies, including expansion plans, new service offerings, and process improvements. Collaborate with the management team to align service objectives with overall company goals.
8. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with service providers and suppliers, negotiate contracts, and evaluate their performance to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness.
9. Budget Management: Develop and manage the service department's budget, including forecasting, expense control, and financial reporting.
10. Health and Safety: Promote and enforce a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and implementing best practices for service operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Service Manager or similar role in a technical service environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of fostering positive relationships with customers and team members.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills, focusing on delivering customer-focused solutions.
- Solid understanding of service management principles, processes, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using service management software and tools to streamline operations and enhance customer experience.
- Knowledge of audiovisual, electronics, or technical systems is an advantage.
