Western Logistics, Inc. (www.westerncarriers.com) a leading East Coast wine and spirits 3PL provider, specializing in warehousing logistics’ and transportation services over 35 years, is now looking for a Full-time Process Innovation Lead to join our Business Strategy and Development team from 7:30am-4:30pm or later if needed. Some flexibility to come in early, stay late, or work occasional weekend day, depending on the assignment.
Position Overview:* We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3 years work experience* in a relevant corporate or consulting position; and a candidate with strong leadership skills and problem-solving skills. This is a direct hire position with benefits after an initial 90 days waiting period, that includes paid sick/personal days, paid vacation days, paid holidays, health insurance (medical, prescription, dental, vision), life insurance, and 401K plan with Company’s match.
Salary will be based on experience and qualifications. Candidate must complete an employment application and will be subject to a drug/alcohol screening and background investigation (past employment verifications, education, and criminal history).
Responsibilities: The Process Innovation Lead will drive continuous process improvement in Western’s warehouse and administrative functions, while maintaining the company’s focus on customer service, quality, and creating a safe and comfortable work environment.
Specific duties include:
- Identify opportunities for improvement based on customer requirements, and analysis of activity and inventory data
- Support existing, and lead new warehouse material handling, software, automation, and storage solutions
- Research potential vendors for new projects, develop and present business case to senior management, and manage ongoing vendor relationship
- Work closely with company staff and management throughout project management: Understand customer and operations context; generate broad support for new solutions to ensure success; implement, train, and support operational personnel.
This position requires frequent work and meetings in the warehouse and a successful candidate will be comfortable working in this environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or other Engineering, Technology, or Operations.
- Creative problem solver, comfortable with new ideas, and quick pace of change
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with expertise in Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and master new technologies and software
- Mechanical aptitude
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in a relevant corporate or consulting position.
- Ability to work well independently and form judgments with little guidance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
