Job Overview: Kaitech Automation, a leading innovator in industrial automation, is seeking a skilled Automation and Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop industrial equipment, especially for secondary and end of line food packaging.
- Draft and interpret electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Set up, program, and maintain PLC/PAC, HMIs, data collection systems, and SCADA applications.
- Integrate various platforms (motion systems, vision robotics) with PC and/or PLC controllers.
- Develop class libraries and interfaces, and write machine control codes in Allen Bradley PAC/PLC.
- Troubleshoot and support continuous improvement efforts for production equipment.
Required Skills, Traits & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering Technology, a related field, or engineering with extensive coding background
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, FactoryTalk, RSLogixs, SQL, Ignition (SCADA), and other relevant software.
- Experience with Kinetix Servo Drives, pneumatics, NFPA79/UL508A standards, and Robotics.
- Strong background in automation control system design and electrical and pneumatic controls.
- Proven ability to manage projects effectively, including meeting budget and time constraints.
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of standing for extended periods and performing tasks involving repetitive movement, bending, and twisting.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs following safe work practices.
