The Fireside Dinner Theatre is looking to hire a social and friendly Bar Manager with a team mentality who desires to learn and grow in the service industry.
The Bar Manager leads the beverage service team, training and guiding staff on all service and preparation of beverages. This individual will also be responsible for brainstorming new creative recipes to be featured in our beverage guide for each new show.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures sufficient staffing of all scheduled shifts and special events
- Conducts training for all bartenders
- Completes inventory and cost control records
- Enforces the standards of appearance, grooming and image guidelines of bar personnel
- Performs routine inspection of all bar areas and equipment
- Collaborates with management team on featured drinks and special projects
- Approves staff punch-ins and records accurate bar tip information
- Effectively communicates both verbally and written with all levels of staff and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
- Ensures guests are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs
- Keeps all work areas clean and properly stocked
- Responsible for opening and closing procedures and the operations of the bar during service hours
- Performs other duties as requested by management
Required Skills and Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of drink preparation or service
- Strong knowledge of beer, wine and spirits and be up to date with industry trends
- Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving guests
- Ability to learn cash register software
This is a full-time position. Must be available to work a Wednesday through Sunday schedule.
Pay is negotiable based on experience.
