Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead dance classes for students of various ages and skill levels
- Teach different dance styles, such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary
- Create choreography for performances and recitals
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their technique and performance
- Develop lesson plans that align with the goals and objectives of the dance studio
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate performances and events
- Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate with parents/guardians as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience as a dance instructor or in a related field is preferred
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in one or more dance styles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with children and create a positive learning environment
- Knowledge of child development principles and behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies
- Certification or degree in dance, early childhood education, special education, or a related field is a plus
