SUMMARY: This position is responsible to supervise and manage the Information Technology (IT) Department. Manage the day-to-day computer operations, data entry, database management, telephone systems, hardware and software, system development; and research and analyze system problems. Activities include the implementation, administration and maintenance of software and hardware that supports site Local Area Networks, the agency’s Wide Area Network, firewalls/VPNs, cloud hosted network servers, and user workstation platforms in a multi-site environment.

- Oversee and manage the IT Department staff
- Directs the planning, budgeting, and operation and resource management of the Information Technology Department
- Provides technical leadership for administrative systems and serves as a technical resource to departments regarding information service’s needs, including Program site visits.
- Responsible for the security of mission critical data (clients’ records, financial data, employee records) and its availability to the end user.
- Serves as a technical resource to departments regarding information service’s needs.
- Develop, support and maintain the Agency’s databases, network services and security programs.
- Coordinates the development and extension of administrative data services with user departments throughout the Agency.
- Responsible for providing direction for oversee programs based on the strategic planning of the agency which includes the design, direction, integration and deployment of all performance assessment and improvement activities within the organization.
- Actively participate in the PQI System and serve on the PQI Council and participate on other PQI Teams as assigned
- Defines and delivers a cost-effective, reliable computing infrastructure and architecture to support existing and emerging applications.
- Continually improve the agency’s model for support of centrally managed systems and maintain accountable services.
- Coordinates with Data Compliance and management programs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: (Pending on position and if prior to hire is approved by Chief Executive Officer, a comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the minimum education qualifications)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Minimum of 5-years’ experience in an upper-level management position within IT
- Microsoft Certified Systems expert preferred
- Minimum of 3-years’ experience with various hardware and software platforms
GENERAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Environment will occasionally become noisy due to equipment operations and interactions among clients and staff. There may be the possibility of being exposed to communicable disease, possible exposure to verbal abuse or similar behavior from residents/clients.
