Grassy Flats and The Rhum House are looking for an exceptional bartender to join our team.
We are looking for a passionate individual with the ability to create craft cocktails in a precise and elevated manor. This individual should not only have the ability to execute menu’d items by memory with consistency but they are encouraged to be creative and to also help grow are established beverage program. Liquor, Wine, and Beer Knowledge are a must and continued education is encouraged and compensated for.
Our Bartenders must:
1. Be Clean, work clean, wear clean clothes, and keep our facility clean
2. Be Transparent with their works & actions. If you do not know, ask. If you do know, share.
3. Be positive, have fun & bring you positive attitude with you every shift.
The Bartender will:
1. Excel in quality guest service with a can-do attitude and charming demeanor
2. Be attentive to the bar and attend to the needs of the guest.
3. Take orders from guests.
4. Pour & mix drinks according to the recipes of The Rhum House at the direction of the Bar Manager, and at the guest’s request.
5. Pour & mix drinks minimizing waste.
6. ID customers to ensure age ability to drink alcohol legally.
7. Interact with Toast to enter orders accurately and keep tabs for guests.
8. Prioritize and enact food & drink safety as lined out in the Policies & Procedures.
9. Have a intimate knowledge of The Rhum House's drink menu and its recipes, wine and beer selections. As well as of other well known drinks and cocktails.
10. Manage on-hand inventory behind the bar in real time
11. Manage Tap system in real time.
12. Be prepared to answer guest questions about The Rhum House’s drink, beer & wine menu.
13. Recognize when to cut off a guest and refer to Bar Manager or Owner.
14. Assist in general upkeep & cleaning schedules of the bar and the FOH.
15. Report to Bar Manager or Lead for all responsibilities, questions and concerns.
Skills necessary to the job function are as follows:
1. Guest Service.
2. Bar attentiveness.
3. Memorization of Barrel & Bale products
4. Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 20 pounds.
5. Understanding and compliance with company policies
6. Finding and assisting in money-saving alternatives
7. Supporting and maintaining the Core Values of the business.
