Overview:
Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a Communications Analyst to support our multiple implementation streams in our Modernization project during a multi-year contract. The ideal candidate will have ideas and strategies, and aid in implementing them to foster an environment of modernization and collaboration. The candidate will have relevant experience in coordinating and communicating between internal and external technical teams, nontechnical customers, and Federal stakeholders.
What You'll Do:
- As the Communications Analyst, you will be responsible for defining, designing, and implementing communications strategy and projects within the program.

Working with the assigned external technical writer to ensure technical content is ready for distribution on time and is translated into plain language for final distribution.

Working with the internal team to ensure high-quality materials (e.g., User Guides, FAQs, and user aid materials) are produced on time and 508 compliant.

Evaluating and assisting in establishing standard operating procedures.

Reviewing and editing communications to be submitted and approved before publication.

Assist with the implementation of communication programs to promote organizational resources, learning opportunities, and knowledge sharing.

Assist in writing, editing, and reviewing internal communication documents that support leadership messaging, external messaging, and the branding of the organization.

Ensure proper information is available and current in multiple locations, including websites, external document repositories, ServiceNow, Slack, MS Teams, Jira, and Confluence.
- Assist with content and communication program analysis and reporting as required.
- Assist in improving communication and content management processes to increase effectiveness and determine best practices.
- Coordinate with internal technical resources, project managers, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), IT groups, and clients to schedule tasks required to complete both day-to-day and project work.
- Creating Jira cards and assigning work to track assignments to timely completion.
- Communicate effectively (both written and oral) with technical teams and clients as needed.
- Working closely with program leadership and the RTE to ensure communications tasks and content are in alignment with project and program goals.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, Education, English, Technical, Communication, Computer Science, or a related field.

4+ years working in a communications role with regular writing and editing responsibilities, supporting the deployment of internal and/or external materials across multiple communication channels, and supporting media content creation and engagement.

Experience as a key liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience with creating materials that meet accessibility and Section 508 compliance standards.

Experience communicating with executive stakeholders.

Highly organized, meticulous about details, and strong multi-tasking abilities.

Collaborative work style and strong partnership and relationship-building skills

Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail, including editing and proofreading.

Experience with collaboration tools, specifically: Office 365 Suite, Jira, Confluence, Slack, and MS Teams.
