About the Organization:
CMG is a 5th generation family-owned and operated organization that provides real estate development services, property management, financial advisory, and estate and tax management for Corliss holdings. CMG oversees investments in 2,000 acres of land in Pierce and King County, including mineral resources, the Sunrise master planned community in South Hill, WA, self-storage, residential multifamily, commercial/retail buildings, and light industrial properties. CMG provides guidance for liquid financial investments, including the management of private lending in real estate.
General Purpose:
The Data Analyst is responsible for assessing complex data systems and programs to support both ad-hoc and ongoing management requests. This involves developing methodologies for analyzing and presenting data, maintaining data quality through the use of analytical tools and databases, and providing insights that inform decision-making and strategic planning.
This is a remote position, but candidates must live within the Pacific or Mountain Time Zones.
Duties & Objectives
- Assess and analyze data systems and programs to fulfill management and department requests.
- Maintain high-quality data, applications, and functions, ensuring efficient operation and output.
- Create advanced programs and methodologies for data analysis and presentation.
- Develop and implement strategies for effective data analysis and reporting.
- Examine data quality, applications, and functions to produce relevant output and maintain system operations.
- Research new data sources and analytical tools.
- Develop awareness and understanding of issues and events affecting the organization, department, or partners.
- Utilize and support database applications and analytical tools to meet organizational needs.
- Work closely with management to understand decision making process and requirements, thereby delivering insightful analytics.
- Communicate analysis results clearly and effectively to team members, management, or partners as required.
- Facilitate communication and resolution of problems, engaging in collaborative problem-solving.
Knowledge, Skills & Requirements
- Strong analytical skills with the capacity to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in database management and analytical tools is essential. Candidates must have a strong familiarity with Python, R, SQL, and experience in developing Shiny Apps, showcasing a robust ability to work with data software and languages.
- Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or the Python libraries matplotlib and seaborn, is crucial for effectively presenting data and insights in clear, impactful ways to diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication skills, with the capability to articulate complex data insights and findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
- A proactive approach to identifying system or process issues, with a commitment to engaging in collaborative problem-solving and developing methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data products efficiently.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- Experience in data analysis, particularly within the contexts of real estate acquisition, development, and property management, is highly preferred.
- Candidates must demonstrate a strong background in utilizing analytical tools, databases, and programming languages, with a specific focus on Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib/seaborn.
- A proven track record of developing insightful analyses from multiple data sources, crafting data products to specifications and timelines, and delivering actionable intelligence that drives strategic decision-making.

This is a remote position that requires a dedicated indoor, office setting to facilitate focused work and effective communication.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
