Tenure-track teaching faculty position in Education beginning in the fall 2024 semester. Primary responsibility will be to teach first- and second-year education courses, as well as introductory education course for first semester middle and secondary education students on both the Bethlehem and Pocono campuses. The teaching load is 15 credits/semester or 30 credits/academic year. This position will also serve to support the growth of teacher education pipeline initiatives. In addition to teaching, all faculty members must advise students, engage in substantive college service activities, and pursue professional growth activities every year.
A Master's degree in Education is required; an Ed D or Ph.D. is preferred with teaching certification. Needed areas of expertise revolve around concepts of inclusion, Universal Design for Learning, and family and student perspectives, as well as expertise in teaching through a variety of formats (online and face to face instruction). The ideal candidate will have three years college teaching experience (preferably in a community college); the ability to meet the needs of community college students and workforce; experience working with students from culturally diverse backgrounds; and current knowledge of academic assessment practices. Willingness to collaborate with colleagues, schools districts, and community partners is foundational to the position.

Responsibilities
In addition to teaching, all faculty members must engage in substantive college service and professional growth activity every year and advise students. The successful candidate will be ready to integrate technology and use multiple instructional techniques into their teaching at NCC.
Additionally, the successful candidate will:
- Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and disposition that support a learner-centered pedagogy
- Oversee course content, assessments, and academic assessment projects
- Model excellence for our students
- Build and support the teacher education student pipeline
- Advise students in the education program
