Summary:
The Supervisor—Pipeline Integrity role offers a unique opportunity for growth and learning. Reporting to the Director of Pipeline Integrity, you will provide oversight and technical guidance to a team of pipeline integrity engineers and project managers. You will be responsible for maintaining the Company Integrity Management Plans for TXRRC, 192, and 195 regulated lines and staying current with pipeline regulations, industry standards, integrity assessment, and repair methods. This role will not only challenge you but also provide a platform for continuous learning and professional development.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides oversight and technical guidance to a team of pipeline integrity engineers and project managers.
Implement, update, and evaluate Energy Transfer’s Gas and Liquid Integrity Management Plan, standards, forms, and procedures to support the IMP on an ongoing basis and ensure compliance with all Federal and State pipeline safety regulations.
Responsible for maintaining Energy Transfer’s Integrity BAP and Continual Assessment Plans
Responsible for compiling the calendar year Assessment List and working with Engineers and Project Managers to establish a proposed budget for those assessments.
Review and Approve Technical Scope of work for Pipeline Assessments and digs.
Oversees the coordination and scheduling of In-Line Inspections (ILI) smart pig surveys, anomaly dig activities, and Hydrostatic pressure tests.
Responsible for engineering support in evaluating in-line inspection results to identify and target Regulatory Required, Validation, Corrosion Growth Rate, and Preventive and Mitigative dig locations.
Review and Approve Project Completion reports and ensure the re-scheduling of the following assessment.
Advises engineering and construction groups to facilitate long-term operation, maintenance, and assessment of newly installed or retrofitted facilities.
Regularly works with operations, liquid and gas control, corrosion, GIS, and other integrity personnel to implement the pipeline integrity management plan efficiently.
Oversee and prepare documentation required for Regulatory Audits
Requirements:
Education and Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
4+ years of experience, including experience in pipeline design, pipeline repair, corrosion control, and inspection and integrity.
Must be knowledgeable of oil and gas engineering principals, standards and specifications, industry and regulatory rules and regulations of the 49 CFR Parts 192 and 195 for pipelines and related facilities, Texas Administrative Code Rule 8.101 plus other industry standards (API, ASME, NACE), guidelines and codes.
Strong oral/written communication and analytical/problem-solving skills are desirable and essential for this role. The ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and solve problems efficiently will be key to your success in this position.
Ability to effectively organize, plan, prioritize, document, and complete work independently.
Demonstrate initiative and ability to manage multiple work tasks and changing priorities.
Ability to analyze data and apply critical thinking skills to generate options and solutions.
Solid understanding of pipeline assessments, operations, maintenance, and risk-based asset integrity management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and pipeline risk software is necessary. We expect you to be able to easily navigate these tools and use them effectively in your day-to-day tasks.
Must be able to interface effectively with all internal and external personnel levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical or Metallurgy).
Working Conditions:
Usually, normal office working conditions.
Must be able to remain stationary at times due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
Occasional travel, including overnight travel, required.
Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings may include hazardous materials and chemicals, extreme temperature conditions, loud machinery, and appropriate personal protective equipment.
