Position Overview
The Assistant Fitness Director (AFD) is a member of the club’s management team and plays a key role in the company’s overall success by assisting in leading and managing the club’s health and fitness programming which includes personal training, small group training, member integration and support.
- This position requires a driven and energetic professional with desire to grow career within Healthworks organization;
- Responsible for club ancillary success, successful day-to-day operations, and assisting the Fitness Director in various club objectives;
- Ensure club meets all applicable safety protocols;
- Impacting member service and retention by delivering excellence through quality, and cutting-edge programming that is safe, supports member’s efforts to reach their goals and provides exceptional member experiences;
- Managing and supporting the Personal Training Team;
- Maintaining a clean, well-maintained, and esthetically appealing environment;
- Achieving financial performance results through the generation of personal training department revenues;
- Ongoing management of company-wide standards for key operational activities, programs and goals throughout the club
PREMIUM COMPENSATION: $75,000-$85,000 + FULL BENEFITS.

Work Schedule
- This is a full-time exempt position. Outside of your full-time management hours, you are welcome to engage with members through personal training, massage or group fitness for additional compensation.
- Your weekly schedule will be Sunday through Thursday
- Your daily schedule will vary throughout the week depending on the needs of the club, the staff, and the members
Experience Requirements
- At least one year of management experience or proven leadership experience in the fitness industry
- At least one year of personal training and group fitness related experience
- Bachelors in and exercise related field preferred, but not required.
- Current CPR/AED Certifications;
- Current Personal Training Certification
- Additional certifications a plus
