Seeking Fine Dining-Oriented Front of House Manager
Overview:
Mandrake is seeking a dedicated Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant's front-of-house team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creative cuisine and fine wine, delivering exceptional customer service, managing a small but highly professional team effectively, and ensuring smooth dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the front-of-house staff, including waiters, maitre d, somms, back waiters, and bartenders
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
- Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery
- Train new employees on restaurant policies, procedures, and customer service standards
- Oversee dining room setup, cleanliness, and organization, including scheduling and continued education and training of FOH team
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner
- Monitor inventory levels for front-of-house supplies and place orders as needed
- Collaborate with the kitchen management team to maintain seamless operations
Requirements:
- Proven experience in front-of-house management or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management, catering, food production, wine and spirits, bar management, and fine dining service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in TOAST and RESY
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- A schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasionally days
