Job Summary
As a member of the DAVACO team you will be responsible for installing various fixtures, displays, and visual elements that enhance the overall shopping experience for customers. Your meticulous attention to detail, creativity, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams will be essential to your success in this position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the management to understand the design concept and installation requirements for each project.
- Safely transport, handle, and assemble a wide range of merchandising fixtures, including shelves, racks, signage, graphics, and other visual elements.
- Ensure accurate and efficient placement of fixtures according to layout plans, ensuring optimal visibility and accessibility of products.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and mounting hardware to securely attach fixtures to walls, ceilings, and floors while maintaining the aesthetic integrity of the design.
- Participate in fixture teardowns, reconfigurations, and modifications as required to accommodate changing merchandising needs.
- Perform quality checks to verify that fixtures are level, stable and aligned properly, making necessary adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation challenges, coordinating with team members to address unexpected obstacles effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of packaging materials and waste.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Must have experience with New Retail Store build out, Remodels and working with Gondola type fixtures.
- Proficiency in interpreting layout plans, diagrams, and installation instructions
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to handle unforeseen challenges during installations.
- Physical stamina and capability to lift, move, and position heavy fixtures and equipment.
- Be technologically savvy – Smart phone, texting, and email.
- Time-management skills to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Understanding of safety regulations and best practices applicable to installation work.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Need to be able to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted.
Working Conditions
This role involves working in retail environments, including both indoor and outdoor settings. As a Merchandising Fixture Installer, you may need to work during non-business hours or times when customer traffic is low to minimize disruption. The role may also require bending, lifting, and reaching while installing fixtures.
