The mission of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is committed to eradicating homelessness amongst our veterans. The Foundation is seeking an experienced Senior Director, Supportive Housing & Services to develop, implement, manage, and oversee a uniform model for the delivery of coordinated and integrated supportive services as it relates to our Homeless Veteran Program.
Applicants must be well organized, have the ability to effectively multi-task within a timely fashion, possess keen attention to detail, prioritize multiple projects and workloads, and handle sensitive information.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for the overseeing and managing of all supportive service operations occurring at each site across the nation.
- Responsible for setting the strategy, direction, and goals for effective operational support with an eye toward efficiencies, quality, and process improvement.
- Responsible for the hiring of teams for each site and oversee supportive service operations to include maintaining overall organizational integrity within the sites and compliance with all federal, state, local, and all other regulations.
- Manage the supportive service vendors that will supplement the Foundation’s therapeutic model at each site.
- Work closely with each of the programs’ operational areas to provide support services via a shared services model.
- Responsible for identifying any gaps in any support model and work with each team and applicable vendors in the region to effectively address and provide consistent care.
- Manage escalations and enforce policies and procedures for codes of conduct & daily operations.
- Manage lease-up and building sufficiency as it relates to federal or state grant awards or voucher systems.
- Responsible for building program capacity through outreach to innovative therapeutic consultants and programmatic partners.
Qualifications
- LCSW/LMSW license required.
- 5-7 years of prior experience working with at-risk populations.
- Experience working with veteran population required.
- Experience working with clients with PTSD and mental health diagnoses, and in- addiction support.
- Strong knowledge of housing-focused case management services and the ability to utilize a wide array of approaches to identify and resolve or minimize veteran barriers.
- Knowledge of governmental logistics, housing programs, and funding (including HUD-VASH/Section 8) strongly preferred.
- Ability to oversee operations across multiple projects running concurrently throughout numerous states.
- Excellent computer literacy including Excel, Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, etc. Ability to generate and keep current reports on incidents, new projects, and status updates for multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment and multi-task in a smart and timely fashion.

Working conditions

Pay: $105,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
