Job Summary
We are seeking a Sales Retention Specialist to evaluate an existing portfolio of merchants, identify at-risk merchants and implement sales techniques to retain business. This position is inherently sales-driven, focusing on generating revenue through proactive client engagement and strategic business development.
Job Responsibilities
- Make outbound sales calls to high-value merchants within an existing book of business that have discontinued processing or are at risk of canceling services.
- Negotiate with merchants on pricing changes and delivery of new equipment as needed to retain business.
- Build relationships with merchants during customer escalations to retain business, and proactively reach out to inactive merchants to regain their business.
- Leverage knowledge of merchant business practices to provide consultative suggestions for best processing practices.
- Identify overdue accounts and collect on outstanding payments.
- Utilize CRM to document progress of customer accounts.
- Achieve monthly targets for collections, retention rates and other productivity metrics.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- 3+ years Sales or Retention experience making high volume outbound calls
- Experience in credit card processing industry preferred
- Strong problem solving and decision making abilities
- Ability to learn and navigate proprietary CRM system, Google docs
- Must be flexible, organized and have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
This position offers a base hourly pay in the range of USD $26-29 hourly ($54,000-60,000 annually), monthly commission bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package including:
