We are a solar maintenance, design and installation company based in Belleville, MI. We are in our 7th year of business, and have been doubling in size for the last 3 years.
We are looking for a Construction Project Manager - Solar to join our growing team. Previous construction experience and previous project management experience are required. Summary: Oversee the daily operations of solar installations, including scheduling, coordinating suppliers, subcontractors, in-house installers, utilities, AHJ, and being main point of contact for end customers.
Pay: From $30/hr + profit sharing + benefits. Wage based on experience.
Primary duties (included but not limited to):
· Schedule installation projects and coordinate install crew dispatching.
· Ensure all necessary materials are on hand.
· Ensure projects keep on schedule.
· Schedule and attend municipal and utility inspections as needed.
· Ensure that quality standards are met on jobs and maintain documented evidence, including photos, written records, drawings, etc.
· Main contact person for customers after projects are under contract through close out.
· Enforce company rules and regulations.
· Maintain clean, safe work areas, trucks, shop, and jobsites.
· Provide leadership in daily installation activities.
· Assist in solar installation, repair, and commissioning when needed.
· Initiate continuous improvement methodology with installation team members.
Required Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience/degree required.
·Construction experience, 2 years+. Project management experience, 2 years+.
·Must have full range or mobility in upper and lower body; ability to work in various positions & environments, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time.
·Ability to lift, pull and push materials and equipment weighing approximately 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
· Hold a driver’s license and have a good driving record.
· Ability to work at heights with proper fall protection and work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc).
· Professional appearance and excellent customer service.
· Track record of successful projects that were completed on schedule and on budget.
· Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office products, exp. Excel. Familiarity with common const. PM software.
Preferred Qualifications:
· NABCEP Certified Installer/ Associate
· 2 years of AC and DC electrical installation experience.
· Training/experience with Continuous Improvement/ Lean construction methods.
· Basic understanding of and the ability to operate all job-related equipment, company owned and rented (skid steers, tractors, fork lift, etc).
· Understanding of OSHA and other State and Federal Laws applicable to Solar Installation OSHA 10/30 certification.
