DQ Chill & Grill, located in Wasilla Alaska, is hiring a motivated, outgoing, experienced General Manager to ensure the restaurant operates efficiently and to provide leadership to crew members.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee all restaurant operations including financial performance, cash handling practices, inventory, food preparation, staffing, scheduling, sales and marketing.
- Manage restaurant P&L.
- Create a positive culture within the restaurant to foster and promote teamwork, productivity, efficiency and employee morale.
- Effectively plan, schedule and assign jobs to ensure efficient operations.
- Staff, train and develop managers and crew members.
- Ensure the restaurant is properly staffed for all day parts and sales volumes.
- Ensure PRIDE systems and routines are incorporated into the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
- Responsible for the development and achievement of the restaurant’s business plan.
- Ensure quality of products, equipment maintenance, and restaurant cleanliness.
- Implement and execute financial controls to assure proper accountability of company assets and funds.
- Implement supply and inventory controls to ensure appropriate ordering and inventory levels are maintained and materials are of good quality.
- Prepare future sales and expense projections and communicate targets to team members.
- Participate in the development and preparation of the annual operating budget.
- Collaborate with the District Manager and IDQ Business Consultant to organize, develop and implement local marketing programs.
- Resolve guest complaints in a timely and tactful manner.
- Ensures team members are following restaurant operation guidelines.
- Ensures guest service meets standards for quality, value, and the restaurant is clean.
- Respond to customer complaints, taking prompt and appropriate action to resolve problem and ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Communicate issues with the District Manager when appropriate.
Requirements
- Three to five years of restaurant management experience preferred, QSR experience strongly preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid ServSafe license or ability to earn license.
- In depth knowledge of restaurant/fast food industry required.
- Knowledge of management of Cost of Goods and labor.
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, staffing and scheduling.
- Knowledge of MSOffice, Outlook, Word, Excel
- Knowledge of Brinks POS a plus.
- Must have excellent customer service and employee relation skills.
- Ability to lead and manage 20+ hourly Crew members.
- Must be able to perform under pressure in a high-volume restaurant.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Adaptable to changing environment.
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Physical Requirement
- Must be able to work in varying temperature ranges.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and climb a ladder occasionally.
